Mawson Lakes Open Day FAQs

Wondering how Open Day works? Start here for simple info to plan your day at Mawson Lakes.

Mawson Lakes campus has several carparks and entry points, but for the best Open Day experience, we recommend parking in the ML2 or ML3 carparks and entering the campus between the GP and A buildings into the GP Courtyard. This will bring you straight to the Adelaide University Welcome Tent, where you can collect your hot drink voucher and start exploring from the heart of the campus.

If you're looking to study a degree taught at our Mawson Lakes campus, come along to Mawson Lakes Open Day to familiarise yourself with the campus, learn more about your degree and visit the dynamic industry-standard facilities you'll study in. You can watch career-focused presentations, connect with future teachers and get individual application support.

Adelaide University’s Mawson Lakes Campus is set alongside 114 hectares of wetlands within the world-class Mawson Lakes residential development. Just 12 kilometres and approximately 20 minutes' drive from the city centre, the campus is next to Technology Park, which is home to several global space, technology, and defence companies, many of which have partnered with the University.

Of course – it’s important to us that everyone can enjoy Open Day.

The University has a number of all gender, male and female wheelchair accessible toilets on each of its campuses. These will be marked on the accessibility maps available at the welcome booth on the day.

Most lecture theatres and teaching spaces provide facilities such as wheelchair spaces, and many have wheelchair access points at the front and rear of the room. Hearing loops are available on campus in some lecture theatres to assist people using hearing aids.

Accessible parking bays are located throughout each of the campuses. In the event all parking bays are occupied, Disability Permit holders can park in any accessible parking bay or plain white lined area, provided their permit from the Department of Transport is clearly displayed. The permit is not valid in yellow lined parking bays such as 15-minute bays, loading zones, or reserved spaces.

If you require assistance for our campus tours in particular, please make this known on the day, or get in touch with our friendly Future Student Enquiries team ahead of time.

Charlie & Co is the on-campus cafe, and all guests at the Mawson Lakes Open Day will be provided a free hot drink voucher redeemable on the day. Make sure you visit the Adelaide University welcome tent in the GP courtyard to get your voucher.

Zambrero is also available in the A Building. Both Zambreros and Charlie & Co offer quality, affordable food and beverage options on campus, which cater to a range of tastes and dietary needs. There are also student kitchen areas with access to microwaves and boiling water so you can bring your own food to heat and eat.

Free parking is available on all campus carparks across Sunday 17 August. These car parks have entrances off University Boulevard and University Boulevard North.

Mawson Lakes campus can be accessed by nearby bus routes. The Mawson Lakes train station is a 10-minute walk away. Visit Adelaide Metro to plan your trip.
