A merit-based top-up scholarship bequeathed by Elizabeth Eileen Woodbury in 2018.

This scholarship is for commencing eligible graduate research candidates undertaking research designed to improve the clinical outcomes for auto-immune disease or contribute to the current body of knowledge and understanding about auto-immune disease. The successful applicant must also be in receipt of a major scholarship. Recipients will receive a top-up stipend of $19,000 p.a. for up to 3.5 years.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible to hold the Scholarship, a candidate must:

  • be an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia;
  • be commencing a full-time Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Master of Philosophy (MPhil) program at the University;
  • be undertaking a research project designed to improve the clinical outcomes for auto-immune disease or contribute to the current body of knowledge and understanding about auto-immune disease; and
  • be a recipient of a major scholarship at the University.

Candidate selection

The Scholarship will be awarded via a competitive selection process based on academic merit, research potential and relevance of academic research.
