Course overview

To provide students with an understanding of Aboriginal rights and intercultural frameworks to work effectively within cross-cultural Aboriginal contexts and enable them to apply this knowledge to professional practice.

Course learning outcomes

  • Locate the 'self' within intercultural frameworks regarding historical and contemporary relationships between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Australian contexts
  • Incorporate new or existing intercultural knowledge and skills in relevant professional standards and practices
  • Exercise reflective practice as continuous improvement in intercultural understanding when working in various Aboriginal cultural contexts
