Course overview
This course will be conducted as an internship and will include academic, ready-to-work, and professional requirements. Students will engage in a work integrated learning experience approved by the course coordinator with a host organisation relevant to their discipline. The course will include work in areas such as project planning, executing, evaluating, and reflecting on the professional placement. Students undertake an internship of 15 days/3 weeks full-time (or up to 16 weeks part-time), totalling 112.5 hours in an industry setting linked to their field of study where the skills and knowledge developed in preparatory courses can be applied. The internship requires reflection on the application of their field of study knowledge and skills in a professional context and the development and reinforcement of professional competency.
