Course overview
The aim of this course is to develop advanced skills and knowledge required for vascular sonography.
Course learning outcomes
- Autonomously plan and describe the implementation of specialised vascular ultrasound examinations including peripheral, cerebrovascular, and visceral systems as well as for organ transplant evaluations.
- Adapt examinations based on physical and pathological variations between patients, and those who have undergone interventional procedures.
- Discuss the principles of plethysmography and other non-imaging techniques that complement.
- Duplex ultrasound to provide a clinical picture for patients with advanced peripheral vascular disease.
- Translate research and advances in vascular imaging into practice.
- Demonstrate continual progression through supervised clinical training requirements.
