Course overview

This course provides training in evidence-based culturally appropriate frameworks for conceptualisation and management of cases across a broad range of presentations, with the underpinning framework of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This course focus is on developing applied, practical skills in working with a client or a group to identify the problem (case conceptualisation), plan, apply and assess the efficacy of interventions, and reflect upon personal and professional skills through the process.

  • Formulate client presentations within a cognitive behavioural model
  • Create cognitive behavioural treatment plans for common presentations
  • Deliver cognitive behavioural interventions that demonstrate collaboration with clients
