Course overview
The aim of this course is to provide an advanced understanding of how professionals identify and implement solutions using a scientifically rigorous approach. Building upon the skills of gathering evidence and its critical analysis, students will learn how to translate and implement findings in a variety of settings in an ethical and culturally responsive way. By examining how research is communicated and translated into practice, learners will develop planning and problem-solving skills essential for future workplaces. This course aligns with the program’s intent to provide a solid understanding of communicating research effectively and broadly outside of the sciences to inform good evidence-based practice in industry and the community.

Course learning outcomes
- Demonstrate an understanding of different approaches to summarising, evaluating and publishing psychological evidence, and the purpose of these approaches in both research and practice
- Communicate psychological research evidence to a wide range of audiences, including nonspecialists
- Apply psychological evidence in an ethical and culturally responsible way
- Critically evaluate the potential to translate research into applications across various societal contexts
- Present psychological research findings in a manner that would engage key stakeholders
