Course overview
The course aims to provide knowledge and skills in the use of psychological assessment instruments across different age groups, cultures and settings. Building upon interpersonal theory and skills already covered, the course introduces commonly used psychological assessments in clinical, health and organisational settings. Considerations around test selection, psychometric properties, implementation and interpretation of scores will be covered. This course aligns with the programs intent to provide basic psychological assessment strategies and knowledge of psychometric theory, preparing learners to understand the utility of assessments across settings in future workplaces.

- Demonstrate and apply knowledge of psychometric theory in a variety of settings
- Determine and integrate basic assessment strategies in situations appropriate to psychological practice
