Course overview

In this course, students will develop an understanding of how mental health issues and dementia impact on a person's behaviour and knowledge of strategies to facilitate engagement in activities. Content includes: 1. Understanding dementia, mental health and changed behaviours; 2. Behaviour activation - goal setting and actions plans to reinforce the practice of healthy activities; 3. Managing self, family and clients.
