Course overview

This course will increase student confidence and ability in mathematical skills, to provide an introduction to the understanding of mathematical principles of differential and integral calculus, and to introduce systematic problem solving techniques. Exponential and logarithmic functions; differential calculus; integral calculus.

Course learning outcomes

  • Apply elementary manipulative skills to solve mathematical problems
  • Formulate simple applied problems in mathematical language
  • Use the principles of elementary differential and integral calculus in the solution of applied problems
