Course overview
In this course, students will develop the mathematical skills and knowledge for teaching mathematics in the primary years of schooling, with a focus on number. Students will engage with mathematical knowledge for teaching primary mathematics, with a focus on number.
Course learning outcomes
- Select and apply a range of mathematical representations and strategies to solve problems, with a focus on number
- Appropriately use a range of tools, including digital technologies, to enable, enhance and extend mathematical understanding in number
- Communicate mathematical thinking and reasoning in spoken, written and visual modes
- Reflect on and enhance their own mathematical development

If you are an international student, or a domestic student studying in a full fee paying place, and are continuing study that you commenced in 2025 or earlier, your fees will be available here before enrolments open for 2026.
