Course overview

Introduction to strategic communication is a foundational course, introducing students to strategic communication and public relations theories. This course applies these theories to a range of professional contexts and sectors, providing foundational knowledge for courses throughout the strategic communication major or as an elective complementing other specialisations. In this course, students will learn how to communicate effectively using theories of public relations and strategic communication. Students will apply these theories in a range of professional communication contexts including organisational communication, promotional communication, and political and social movement communication.
