Course overview
The aim of the course is to empower learners with the skills transition from traditional drawing methods to proficient use of digital tools in interior design. Through the exploration of computer aided design and documentation, students will translate traditional drawings into accurate computer models, produce 3D models from plans and elevations, and create design layouts for presentation. The course emphasizes constructing complex shapes, interpreting scaling requirements, and navigating digital files. Additionally, students will strategically utilise current software, 3D modelling applications and digital workflows, preparing them for success in the contemporary profession of interior architecture.

Course learning outcomes
- Translate information from traditional drawings to computer models, apply text, type and dimensions and cross reference documents
- Translate traditional drawings to computer models, produce a 3D model from plans and elevations and produce a design layout for presentation
- Construct platonic forms and other complex shapes, interpret scalar requirements of drawing and navigate through different digital files
- Utilise current Software and 3D Modelling applications in the contemporary profession
