Course overview
The aim of this course is to introduce students to the fundamentals of interior design, its principles, and methodologies. The course provides a comprehensive overview of the design process, from concept development to execution, emphasising the integration of human factors, cultural contexts, and materiality. Through hands-on studio projects and iterative learning, students gain skills in spatial composition, design representation and visual communication. This course lays the groundwork for future studios by fostering a critical understanding of the built environment and equipping students with the techniques necessary for coherent and meaningful design proposals.
