Course overview
In this course, students will develop the competencies and skills required for a technology professional working in the IT industry of today and tomorrow, readying them to transition into the workplace. Professional skills including workplace communication and presentation, meetings and presentations, WHS expectations, telephone, customer service and successful interpersonal behaviour; Managing client expectations; Appreciation of the skills required for successful IT professionals; Present IT solutions that meet client target outcomes; Understanding of the multi-disciplinary requirements of today's IT solutions; Professional communication and presentation skills; Team collaboration in a workplace scenario; Basic understanding of integrated IT services; Understanding of the common expectations of today's IT clients; Insights into enterprise IT service delivery models; Understanding common IT career pathways; Personal career planning and preparation.

- Demonstrate a range of professional business skills required in large IT organisations
- Describe and evaulate different approaches to the development of workplace culture and dynamics, especially within small teams in a large organisation
