Course overview
This course will enable students to effectively communicate complex data through visual representations. It will cover principles of data visualisation, types of charts, data storytelling, and visualisation tools. Students will gain skills in identifying relevant factors of human perception, creating clear visualizations, understanding best practices, and interpreting data. The course equips students with necessary knowledge and skills for creating predictive models and developing innovative solutions.
Course learning outcomes
- Demonstrate proficiency in programming and statistical methods, focusing on data visualisation techniques
- Develop the ability to visualise various data types effectively using appropriate charts, graphs, and interactive visualisations
- Evaluate data visualisation for effective presentation and decision making
- Present data insights clearly and persuasively by written and oral communication

If you are an international student, or a domestic student studying in a full fee paying place, and are continuing study that you commenced in 2025 or earlier, your fees will be available here before enrolments open for 2026.
