Course overview
This two-trimester course spans 12 units of study and equips students with the skills required to undertake research in international business. In the first part of the course, students focus on crafting a problem statement through a thorough literature review and preliminary analysis. Students refine their research methodologies and present interim findings to faculty for approval. Emphasis lies on establishing a solid foundation for their research project, ensuring alignment with course objectives.
During the second part of the course, students investigate their chosen issue, leveraging data and analytical tools to propose viable solutions. This approach enriches understanding of the chosen problem by accessing information made available by relevant stakeholders. Students conduct these interviews to gain deeper insights into industry dynamics, challenges, and potential solutions. By engaging in direct dialogue with industry professionals, they enhance the robustness of their research findings and strengthen the validity of their strategic recommendations.
Regular progress reviews and guidance from faculty mentors support students in translating theoretical knowledge into actionable insights within the international business domain.
