Course overview
This course aims to teach students advanced psychological and public health knowledge regarding physical health in groups, in the context of the biopsychosocial model, including epidemiology, health economics and preventative measures such as designing, implementing and evaluating health promotion and policy. Complementing what students have previously learnt about health behaviours and health psychology in individuals, students will extend their knowledge to consider health at group and population levels. In combination, this knowledge ensures that students can apply their skills in health promotion and clinical health psychology settings.
