Comics and drawing can be a powerful form of autobiographical lifewriting, which pack a double-punch with their use of both images and words. This course will discuss the history and practice of autobiographical comics, covering a range of cultural perspectives, including their publication in Australia, where they are a well-established and innovative practice. Students will apply what they've learned by creating comics about their own lives.
