Course overview
This course will develop an understanding of the mechanics of damage and fracture of materials and structures under static and dynamic loading and will explain advanced materials developed to withstand applications requiring high level of performance. Students will apply the principles of fail-safe engineering design and will be introduced to key analysis and inspection methods of fracture mechanics.
