Course overview
This course aims to equip learners with knowledge and skills on the theory and application of finite element analysis (FEA) to complex engineering problems. Building upon fundamentals of engineering mechanics and modelling, the course covers the critical steps and procedure of FEA for systems involving linear and nonlinear structural mechanics, dynamics, vibrations and other engineering applications. By applying this knowledge, learners will develop hands-on skills and experience with FEA to effectively address realistic engineering problems. This course aligns with the program intent to offer deeper understanding and capacity on the use of FEA as a tool, for learners to develop reliable engineering solutions.
