Course overview

This course provides students with an understanding of the basic principles of submarine design in a complex modern multi-platform system, including a general introduction to submarines and the operational requirements for submarines, the submarine design and development process and all its phases, pressure hull design considerations, overall submarine performance, material protection, and the submarine systems.
