Course overview
This course aims to empower students with a comprehensive understanding of design principles, methodologies, and practices essential for tackling real-world challenges. Students will develop the ability to conceptualise, analyse, and implement solutions to a given problem, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and proficiency in design tools and techniques. The student will be competent in printed circuit board layout, through-hold soldering and use of electronic test equipment. Working on design projects will enhance interpersonal and communication skills and prepare them as an effective member of an engineering design team.

- Apply fundamental principles to design electrical and electronic systems
- Utilise industry-standard design tools and software effectively
