Course overview
This course aims to equip students with a deep understanding of the key principles and practical applications necessary for the design and analysis of structures under wind and earthquake forces. By delving into the behaviour of single and multi-degree-of-freedom systems, wind dynamics, seismic activities, and the latest design methodologies, students will learn to analyse and design structures that can withstand dynamic loads. The course integrates theoretical knowledge with practical skills using advanced computational tools and adherence to Australian Standards. By the end of this course, students will possess the expertise to design safer and more resilient structures.
