Course overview

The aim of this course is to extend pedagogic understanding and practice of the complex relationships between space, place and learning pedagogies in the design and implementation of innovative, adaptable spaces for learning. This course will cover the following content areas: design for digital learning, course design resources, usability and accessibility, blended learning, online learning, implementing digital tools, artefacts and services in the learning environment, connecting physical and digital learning spaces, issues in digital innovation, and evaluation of digital learning environments for learning.

Course learning outcomes

  • Apply digital learning concepts, models and practical strategies to guide, construct and reflect on pedagogical approach.
  • Analyse and evaluate learning technologies for the achievement of appropriate pedagogical outcomes.
  • Design and develop a digital learning experience that utilises appropriate and relevant technologies.
