Course overview

This course explores differentiation practices for supporting the varied needs of learners. Preservice teachers will learn how to design diagnostic, formative and summative assessments, so that the needs of all learners are met. They will also explore a range of assessment data that can be used for planning purposes. Ways of incorporating a range of pedagogies into units of work to support the needs of learners in diverse contexts will also be a focus. Preservice teachers will continue to connect theory and practice as they develop skills and knowledge relevant to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
