Course overview

To explore diverse experiences and understandings of what it means to be human in the 21st century through engagement with theology, science, philosophy and sociology.  To engage with contemporary Catholic theological anthropology in the context of ‘Creation’ and current threats to the global community of life.   The vast 'universe story' sets the foundation for an anthropology based on inter-relationship and mutual responsibility. In response to the story of human 'brokenness', resources for spiritual, ecological and religious healing at the service of the flourishing of life are explored. Practical implications for Catholic education and teaching Religious Education are in focus.
