Course overview

This course aims to explore why Catholic Schools exist today, key research and beliefs about learners and teachers in Catholic Schools as well as pedagogies and professional practices that enhance the aims of Catholic Education. Participants will reflect on how Catholic theology contributes to the educator’s beliefs about children, childhood and adolescence, to their personal and professional identity and to choices about educational principles, methods and approaches best aligned to enhancing the mission of contemporary Catholic Schools.
