Course overview

This course examines the Christian Scriptures (First Testament and Second Testament) as literature and as sacred texts, while critically analysing methods of Scriptural interpretation and the Catholic pedagogical applications of the Scripture studied. This entails the application of the ‘Three Worlds of the Text’ approach to the study of these sacred texts, with an emphasis on teaching the genres, contexts and contemporary interpretations of the focus texts.
