Course overview

This course will further develop students' knowledge of the role, purpose and potential of Catholic schools in the education of children and young people within the contemporary Australian context. Students will build on their knowledge of the broader religious dimension of the Catholic school across all aspects of school life, through an exploration of social justice, prayer and ritual, liturgy, family, parish and school partnerships, sacraments and human sexuality education, the spirituality of the Catholic school teacher; and also the relationship between these areas and the formal Religious Education curriculum.
