Course overview
This course examines the rules, policy, and economic realities governing international trade in agriculture and food, including recent developments, disputes, agreements, and disruptions. Topics include key agricultural policy models, the role of intergovernmental organisations, global value chains, the growing impact on trade of private standards, and food insecurity. It also covers the recent transformation in markets and methods as retailers have gained a greater influence over production and distribution decisions.
