Course overview
This course deepens the critical thinking and economic reasoning applied to key topics in development economics. It explores topics such as economic development measurement, growth theories, poverty alleviation strategies, the role of institutions and geography, population dynamics, credit markets, health, education, and female empowerment. Students will develop analytical skills to critically evaluate the factors influencing and limiting economic development. By exploring case studies and real-world scenarios, students will gain nuanced understandings of the intricacies involved in development processes.
