Course overview

To extend the geospatial education of students in areas of advanced geographical information systems analysis and applications

Course learning outcomes

  • Critically review and apply appropriate algorithms for interpolation of point data to create raster surfaces
  • Generate 3D and 4D visualizations of spatial information and models
  • Apply advanced GIS modelling to both environmental or social data
  • Apply spatial statistics to answer questions with respect to geographically distributed phenomena
  • Review issues and implement strategies related to the delivery of GIS on the intranet and internet
