Course overview

Building on preparatory work undertaken in Media and Communication Professional Identities, this course explores latest research on current and future trends in media and communications work in order to assist students to best position themselves for the transition from undergraduate study to the next stages of their careers. Students consolidate and extend their knowledge about the current and historical conditions that have shaped contemporary media and communications work and explore the latest forecast trends and predictions for key media and communications industries. They will then apply this knowledge to their own career planning and development, and learn advanced tools and strategies for positioning themselves for success in their future careers. 

Course learning outcomes
