Course overview

This course will extend existing knowledge, communication and literacy to develop advanced skills in the production and distribution of content for a variety of strategic communication tasks and situations. Builds on existing knowledge and communication literacy to develop the advanced critical understanding required to create complex media content for strategic communication purposes. Students are required to analyse, plan and produce a range of media content used in professional strategic communication. Skills will be developed in the production of strategic communication content for traditional and digital media.

  • Construct and critically evaluate communication content for various strategic communication contexts and audiences
  • Generate a body of specialised content for a range of strategic communication tasks
  • Construct creative content to communicate ideas and information for strategic communication purposes, incorporating text, visual, audio and design elements
