Course overview

This course is designed to link circular economy principles to business strategy and operations. The course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles, strategies, and applications of the circular economy within the context of modern business practices. The course will explore the transition from the traditional linear economy model to a circular economy, focusing on concepts such as resource efficiency, waste reduction, product life extension, and closed-loop systems. The course will enable an understanding of financial systems and technological innovations that facilitate circular economy. Through case studies, discussions, and practical exercises, students will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to analyse, design, and implement circular economy strategies in diverse business settings.

Course learning outcomes
