Course overview

This course will provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate an advanced and integrated understanding of complex forms of knowledge and broader industry contexts that impact on and inform project management professional practice approaches. Students will critically analyse, reflect on, and synthesise a complex body of information and concepts pertaining to a selection of professional contexts observed in project organisations, and subsequently generate and justify a set of authentic recommendations to resolve a project management concern from a hypothetical professional organisation.

Course learning outcomes

  • Demonstrate an advanced and integrated understanding of a complex body of knowledge that includes contemporary developments and applications in project management.
  • Investigate, analyse and synthesise complex information, problems, concepts and theories and to apply established theories to the project management body of knowledge and practice.
  • Identify, justify and interpret theoretical propositions, methodologies, and conclusions for application in new situations and professional contexts.
