Course overview
This course will enable students to integrate advanced and specialised business knowledge and skills with the ability to apply them in a business setting. Students will undertake an internship in an organisation where the specialised and advanced business knowledge and skills developed during the course of their degree program can be applied.
The internship requires reflection on the application of specialised and advanced business knowledge in a professional context and the development and reinforcement of high level professional competency in business and management.
Course learning outcomes
- Apply discipline-based business knowledge to a professional work environment.
- Communicate and interact effectively with work colleagues.
- Negotiate, design and deliver a proposal and produce a final report for a work placement project that aligns with their business discipline.
- Effectively use data generated by the business and from other sources.
- Perform tasks set by an employer to a satisfactory standard.
- Reflect on their experience in the work environment and how this relates to the enhancement of their professional competencies and the deepening and broadening of their business knowledge and ethical action.
