Course overview
The aim of this course is to provide students with the fundamentals of the statistical analysis of data for strategic decision making in business and management. The course content is based around three main themes; the identification and handling of data, the estimation and testing of data, and the interpretation and presentation of data. The aim of this course is topics will include:
Introduction to data analysis; data cleaning and handling techniques; sampling selection; estimation methods (e.g. ordinary least squares); hypothesis testing; simple and multiple linear regression; ANOVA; multivariate analysis; business intelligence and organisational requirements for data; application of data analysis for business decision making.
