Course overview
This course will provide in-depth knowledge of the temporal and spatial processes that add value for customers in supply networks; philosophies and techniques for the application of supply chain strategies; and discern the digital technologies enabling integrative efforts and competitiveness as an ecosystem. Strategic priorities and value proposition for B2B and B2C contexts; time-based opportunities and leagility; internationalisation drivers, strategies and risk management in global supply chains; evolving technology applications (including cyber-physical systems, Industrial Internet of Things) in the digital era and collaborative interconnectivity in supply chain ecosystems.
Course learning outcomes
- Evaluate the value systems, competitive priorities and performance of supply chain ecosystems.
- Analyse the issues, risks and strategic approaches when operating in global supply environments.
- Examine the emerging concepts and evolving technology applications and recommend strategies for more integrative and collaborative supply networks.
- Demonstrate Business Enterprise Skills in the context of the Logistics and Supply Chain Management discipline: i) Problem Solving (advanced level); and ii) International Perspective (advanced level).
