Course overview
This course is designed to cultivate a comprehensive understanding of research within the field of construction management. Students will be exposed to the fundamental nature of research and the processes involved in its execution. The course will explore the contemporary structure of research and familiarise students with various research methodologies, including quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-mode approaches. This course will guide students in utilising online resources and tools for efficient searching, identification, and retrieval of relevant research materials. This course also aims to introduce common data analysis techniques, enabling students to effectively process and interpret research findings. A critical component of the course focuses on fostering effective communication skills for research outcomes within the context of construction management. Students will be equipped to translate complex findings into impactful presentations and written reports specifically tailored for this audience. This course aligns with the program's intent to develop and apply research, communication, and professional skills.
