Course overview

This course will develop students' knowledge of materials and technologies required for construction detailing and fabrication on site, for buildings of varying scales and complexities. Students will develop an understanding of the skills and knowledge necessary to translate design concepts into built-form, and the necessary application of safe work practices on site, including equipment use, care, and maintenance. Through the exploration of building materials and systems, students will develop skills and knowledge in construction detailing, fabrication, and skills in on site operations, including the use of hand and power tools for building component assembly.
