Course overview
This course will examine applications of biotechnology in the animal industries. Current and developing biotechnologies will be explored and their potential application to challenges facing the livestock industries, equine and companion animals, and wildlife conservation will be discussed and debated. Topics addressed will include the contribution of biotechnology to animal models of human disease, use of biotechnology in food safety and biosecurity, and ways in which biotechnologies can improve animal production, health and welfare.

If you are an international student, or a domestic student studying in a full fee paying place, and are continuing study that you commenced in 2025 or earlier, your fees will be available here before enrolments open for 2026.
