Course overview
This course will use existing theoretical understandings in conservation biology coupled with the ecological and evolutionary techniques for management and restoration of natural systems to address wildlife conservation issues.
Course learning outcomes
- Assess and integrate ecological, biological, sociological, legislative, and ethical perspectives into conservation management.
- Recognise the spatial and temporal scales impacting efforts to conserve biodiversity and the different methods they require.
- Utilize scientific principles and modern technologies to address current challenges in managing and conserving flora, fauna and ecosystem processes.
- Collaborate effectively in small groups and engage with potential clients, such as personnel from the Natural Resource sector.
- Show proficiency in written and oral communication at industry standards.
