This course introduces learners to the holistic examination of the set of financial decisions and constraints that personal financial planning clients face—personal spending, saving, income taxation, insurance cover, credit and debt, and investments—across stages in their (financial) life cycles. By focusing on personal financial planning as an evolving process and providing appropriate financial tools and techniques—time value of money, personal financial statements, comprehensive analysis of interest rates, returns and risk—it aims to improve learners understanding of and ability to explain personal budgeting, tax management, insurance, consumer debt, and investment decision making.
