Course overview
This course aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of big data technologies and their applications in modern organisations. The main topics covered include an overview of big data technologies, the data analytics lifecycle, selection and application of appropriate big data analytics tools, and common data storage architectures. By the end of this course, learners will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to describe the role of data analytics in organizational improvement, apply the data analytics lifecycle to solve constrained problems, select and apply big data analytics tools, and describe common data storage architectures. This course prepares students to excel in data science roles and contribute effectively to organisations leveraging big data for strategic decision-making and innovation.
