This course takes students on a journey across time and place to explore key archaeological discoveries and question the ways these discoveries have changed our understanding of the human story. Using case studies from Europe, Australia, Asia, and the Middle East students will be introduced to famous archaeological sites including those of the classical world. How have these places influenced our understanding of human history? How do they connect with key themes in human development such as the emergence of agriculture?
