Course overview

The aim of this course is to develop students' knowledge, skills, and application of digital design documentation and multimedia presentation technologies. Students will build on existing knowledge of digital media skills, applied to analogue and digital design media; focusing on two-dimensional and three-dimensional modelling; lighting and texturing; animation and film; multi-media applications and installation work; and digital media's readiness for fabrication.

Course learning outcomes

  • Apply advanced communication methods for digital design communication and presentation
  • Apply advanced digital graphic techniques and modelling to describe three-dimensional form and spatial relationships
  • Identify and describe the scope of current digital media and their use as presentation environments
  • Apply knowledge and skills in the translation of conceptual analogue design content into digital media
  • Develop knowledge of skills and methods to plan and produce a complex interactive digital portfolio
