Course overview
Industrial Design Studio 1 introduces students to fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge in industrial design. Through hands-on projects, students explore two and three-dimensional form, shape, and design elements and principles. They develop skills in conceptualising, visualising, communicating, and crafting design ideas while considering the broader responsibilities of industrial designers in contemporary practice. The course aligns with program goals by integrating knowledge, fostering problem-solving skills, and promoting ethical awareness.

- Apply and critically evaluate design elements and principles in two-and three-dimensional form during design projects and exercises
- Create design outcomes using a range of cognitive, technical, and creative skills

- Apply creative processes and problem-solving strategies to respond to defined design challenges in industrial design contexts.
