Course overview

The aim of this course is to impart the theoretical and practical knowledge in the areas of navigation, aerodynamics and aircraft systems for large jet aircraft. Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge on navigation, aerodynamics and aircraft systems of large jet aircraft as apply in real world context.

Course learning outcomes

  • Explain technical aspects of navigation instrumentation on large aircraft, as well as the facilities that support them in the operating environment.
  • Build up an in-depth understanding of common navigation concepts.
  • Apply navigational concepts to solve navigation problems.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of large aircraft systems and their operational requirements.
  • Apply large aircraft systems knowledge to solve short, scenario-based questions.
